The Summer Queen sails from Ullapool harbour. The 4 hour morning cruise visits the Summer Islands, landing on Tanera Mhor. The 2 hour afternoon encounters seals, dolphin, whales and bird life including Sea Eagles.
Sea Scape operate a rigid inflatable tour boat from Ullapool Harbour. Slightly faster than the Summer Queen, Sea Scape also visits the Summer Isles islands. Normally encounter seals, many sea birds and even porpoise, dolphin and the occasional whale.
The ferry to Lewis operates from Ullapool Harbour throughout the year. In the summer it runs three times a day making it possible to tour the Isle of Lewis and be back on the same day.

Dun Canna is an Iron Age fort just north of Skylark. A great walk and well worth it, the remnants of this fort will make you sit and wonder how the people back then managed to build such a structure!
The museum is in a former Telford Church and gives a great background of knowledge about this area and it's history, covering the Celts, Vikings and crofting settlements of old, and the more recent influence of the fishing industry.
One of the highest waterfalls and gorge systems in the UK, Corrieshalloch has a great path system and a suspension bridge overlooking the gorge. Not for those scared of heights!
The area north of Skylark is a designated GeoPark in recognition of the geological importance of the area. A great way to get an understanding of this is to visit the Knockan Crag Nature Reserve.
Natural caves north of Skylark that ones were home to bears and animals that lived here during the last ice age. A great walk still.
A great little festival that welcomes international and local writers. Talks and readings take place over the weekend of the festival, and people travel from all over the world to take part.
Ullapool's annual music festival that sees local and international acts playing in the village. The bars around the village also put on a good line up of music and entertainment. Usually sells out fast so get tickets early and don't forget accommodation!
